The Delphi was excellent in every aspect of a typical hotel (very clean property and rooms, excellent cleaning service, great amenities, great location, etc.). My review will focus on some of the things that made us feel special and welcomed. First, the free coffee deal (it's a nice big coffee machine that can dispense different types of drinks, and the coffee bar is always stocked up). I haven't seen Coffee with milk provided free in many EU hotels. For me, this was an awesome touch. Second, the hotel has a stock of GVB (Amsterdam city transport system) cards for purchase at their lobby (I asked for it just to check). I found this very convenient since we had the ability to use the trams/metro right from when we checked in. The tram stop nearby didn't seem to have a ticket dispenser and I'm not sure how far I would have to go to get the tickets if the hotel hadn't offered this perk. Third, the hotel staff were SUPER helpful with multiple small requests. We encountered a (light) rainy day during our stay, but we were able to borrow umbrellas from the hotel (for a small refundable deposit per umbrella) and go about our day as usual. We were able to get change for our cash (something that we—surprisingly—struggled with at other big hotels in our trip). We also had the misfortune of a broken suitcase, which the hotel was kind enough to help us dispose after we got a new one. They also have a service to book airport transfers. I didn't use it since I had an online booking, but found the hotel's taxi rates slightly lower than my booking. Finally, they had a nice welcome basket with some chocolate, stroopwafel, chips, a couple of small water bottles, a discount coupon for restaurants, etc. for us when we checked in. This was more than what we had experienced in other hotels we stayed during our EU trip (3 or 4-star hotels in Paris and Barcelona).

Beautifully decorated with some really tasteful touches. Christmas decorations were beautifully done. My room was spacious and comfortable. Once I had worked out how to use the shower (!) it was strong and hot and could be turned on and off without having to reach under the water … clever design. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Best of all - breakfast. Everything on offer was fresh and tasty with a fantastic selection to suit all tastes. I hate those coffee machines all hotels have these days but this one actually produced decent enjoyable coffee! I suspect, evidenced from the rest of the breakfast, it was well-cleaned and maintained. Location was really good; few minutes walking distance from shops, restaurants and Number 5 tram which is the one for the main museums.

It is a centrally located property in the heart of the city in the Ouid West area of Amsterdam ( A leafy Lane) and the tram station is just around the corner. The staff was very extremely helpful right from arranging taxis to helping us with quick meal options when we requested. Also plenty of restaurants around for meals and that helps since the Hotel Delphi only serves breakfast. Vondelpark is just about 20 mins walk and many sightseeing options just a tram away. Enjoyed our stay at the Delphi and would definitely visit again. A special mention about the MR MORRIS at the Reception who a such a great help during our stay at the Delphi. Indeed a hardworking and pleasant personality.

The staff is excellent and always willing to help. The room was cleaned extremely well and there were small touches to ensure we had a comfortable stay, including water and snacks provided on arrival. A bonus is the lounge area in the lobby, which is extremely comfortable, offers free coffee and tea, and is decorated with the ambience of a spacious bistro, including candlelight in the evenings. Guests can treat it as as an extended living/dining common room. We brought our own takeout and saw many guests playing games in their down time. Public transportation and shops are just a few minutes walk away.

The location was lovely – a peaceful and quiet area. Also, it was super close to the trams. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. The staff were super nice, always ready to help and very friendly. I once mentioned to a woman in the kitchen (I'm really sorry I didn't get her name) that I can't drink regular milk. That's why I was making my hot chocolate with water. Since then, whenever she saw me having breakfast, she would bring a glass of warm oat milk without me even asking for it. It was so thoughtful of her and I really appreciated it 🙏🏻.
